I got mine two days ago and the first 1/3 of the magazine only shoots 80-130fps. Second half of magazine magically stabilizes to 410-420fps

My name is TJ. I've been enjoying air guns for over 30 years. I prefer break barrels, C02 and pump ups. I also tinker with them,usually above my skills.
Had my Barra 400e about a month now and the velocity has a sudden decline. The first 6 or 7b bb's just lob out of the barrel and then there's a slight increase in velocity but not like it should be...
Is it still working good for you. I'm having a problem of bb buying out of the barrel about every 5th or so will fall short of the target

Update: I'm going to try Fitz Gun and Knife Wax. This is cheaper then Renaissance brand museum grade protectant.
